The most exclusive drug rehab center in California is located at the California drug Rehab Center in Malibu California. California is home to many drug rehab centers, some very well known, and others, like us, that want to “fly under the radar”, so to speak, so that we can offer our residents the ultimate in privacy. Along with our privacy we also offer the exclusivity that comes with being situated on a private estate in a quiet high-end neighborhood on a private drive. Located in the hills of Malibu, our drug rehab center affords unobstructed views of the beaches of Malibu and the Pacific Ocean. Looking at our facility from the outside it looks like a private luxury estate. And that is exactly what we wanted. Unlike other drug rehabs in California, we believe that privacy and anonymity are two things that are most helpful in seeing successful recovery for our residents.

Exclusivity is noticed once you come through our doors. From the exquisite custom wood floors and large windows from every room, you at once feel wrapped in luxury. Private bedrooms with large screen plasma TVs, king size four-poster designer beds, private bathrooms with marble tile and Jacuzzi tubs are just the beginning. We have a fully equipped weight and exercise room, and just outside is a full size lap pool with views of the surrounding mountains and especially the beaches of Malibu. A gourmet chef will prepare meals specifically for your dietary needs. Your own personal trainer will help get you back in physical shape. Yoga and massage therapy are there to also help you think and feel great.

This probably doesn’t sound like traditional drug rehab and it isn’t. Because we offer these luxuries and unequalled privacy, our residents can focus on their recovery while being pampered. We believe you will have the best experience of your life while you are here in treatment, and that is just the way we think it should be. Effective Drug Rehab

What is effective drug rehab? If you look at the end from the beginning I would have to say that effective drug rehab equates to permanent recovery, or in other words true long-term sobriety. It is not enough to be “effective” while in treatment, but after you leave rehab you have to tools, knowledge and motivation to stay sober.

So what are the elements of an effective rehab strategy? First, effective rehab has to address your unique situation. Everyone is different. All addicts come from different backgrounds and have different life styles and different circumstances. To make treatment effective we have to look at all of these variable and treat the whole person. What makes you use? What are your triggers? What is your emotional state? What are your surroundings? What is the status of your ultimate support group once you leave rehab? Once we have answers to these and other questions we can then develop a rehab program to address your specific needs.

Second, we believe rehab should be enjoyable. That means you have to like being here. If you like being here, chances are you will internalize your treatment and it will become a part of you. If you hate rehab, that means you are resisting treatment. And if you are resisting treatment it cannot be effective.

Third, effective rehab has to help those around you, your support group after you leave rehab, to understand addiction, and specifically your addiction. We have a family program that helps family members and others you choose to attend. It helps them understand the disease of addiction and how they can help you and not enable you. They will understand what they need to do to help you once you leave rehab. Since they are your primary support mechanism after you leave rehab, we believe it is important for them to have the skills necessary to help you stay sober.

If you have any questions about how an effective drug rehab program can help you, please call us today at 1-877-412-3669. We can help you get sober and stay sober. But you have to make the call and then let the healing process begin.

Drug Detox

For some, drug rehab cannot begin until after they have gone through detox. We have professional medical personnel that are trained and experienced in detox. They will know the type of detox that is best for you, whether that is a holistic detox based on medical supervision with rest, diet and exercise, or whether you will need assistance with alternate drug therapy to ease your detox. Whatever your needs are, we can help you get through detox quickly and painlessly.

If you have any questions about detox, and whether you need detox, please call us today at 1-877-412-3669. We will answer all your questions and help you make the decision to begin your rehab with our successful detox treatment programs.

Aftercare for Successful Long-term Recovery

As already mentioned, rehab by itself is not enough to assure long-term recovery. Once you leave rehab you will be back in life with many of the same challenges and stresses that you had before you came to rehab. While you are here we will help you identify those stresses and triggers and give you the skills and knowledge to handle them properly without drugs. But you need more than this. You need someone you can talk to each day who knows what you are going through because they have been there. That person is your sponsor. We will help you get a sponsor before you leave so that you have that support. We will also help you find a local drug rehab counselor that you can meet with to help you in your recovery. These two additional elements will help you stay sober and healthy.

For additional information or immediate assistance on the drug rehab programs at the California Drug Rehab Center, please call us anytime at 1-877-412-3669. We are California’s exclusive drug rehab center.

What Is Drug Addiction Treatment?

Drug Addiction No Comments

There are many addictive drugs, and treatments for specific drugs can differ. Treatment also varies depending on the characteristics of the patient.

Problems associated with an individual’s drug addiction can vary significantly. People who are addicted to drugs come from all walks of life. Many suffer from mental health, occupational, health, or social problems that make their addictive disorders much more difficult to treat. Even if there are few associated problems, the severity of addiction itself ranges widely among people.

A variety of scientifically based approaches to drug addiction treatment exists. Drug addiction treatment can include behavioral therapy (such as counseling, cognitive therapy, or psychotherapy), medications, or their combination. Behavioral therapies offer people strategies for coping with their drug cravings, teach them ways to avoid drugs and prevent relapse, and help them deal with relapse if it occurs. When a person’s drug-related behavior places him or her at higher risk for AIDS or other infectious diseases, behavioral therapies can help to reduce the risk of disease transmission. Case management and referral to other medical, psychological, and social services are crucial components of treatment for many patients. The best programs provide a combination of therapies and other services to meet the needs of the individual patient, which are shaped by such issues as age, race, culture, sexual orientation, gender, pregnancy, parenting, housing, and employment, as well as physical and sexual abuse.

Many people view drug abuse and addiction as strictly a social problem. Parents, teens, older adults, and other members of the community tend to characterize people who take drugs as morally weak or as having criminal tendencies. They believe that drug abusers and addicts should be able to stop taking drugs if they are willing to change their behavior.

These myths have not only stereotyped those with drug-related problems, but also their families, their communities, and the health care professionals who work with them. Drug abuse and addiction comprise a public health problem that affects many people and has wide-ranging social consequences. It is NIDA’s goal to help the public replace its myths and long-held mistaken beliefs about drug abuse and drug addiction with scientific evidence that addiction is a chronic, relapsing, and treatable disease. According to the 2005 National Survey on Drug Use and Health there are now 22.5 million Americans suffering from drug addiction and/or alcohol addiction. .

Without proper treatment, the prognosis is poor for those suffering from alcohol and drug addiction: the body deteriorates, the mind is damaged, and families fall apart.

Identifying and treating the disease are critical to the process of addiction recovery.

Luxury residential addiction treatment centers, or drug and alcohol treatment programs offer hope to men, women and their families suffering from the devastating consequences of chemical dependency.

Drug abuse is a devastating disease. The fact that you’ve made it this far says you don’t need a lecture about the perils of addiction. You know drug abuse strips its victims of their dignity, and turns them into strangers to everything and everyone they’ve ever cared about. But that doesn’t have to be the end of the story. Indeed, successful drug abuse treatment can make a world of difference for addicts and their loved ones. The only catch, of course, is that you have to take the first step.

The fight against drug abuse can’t start until you let it. If you’re going to get sober, it’s going to be because you find the courage to admit that you have a problem, and to seek the help you need from a drug addiction treatment facility you can trust. If left untreated, drug abuse will ruin your life. Successful drug abuse rehab will save it. For your own sake, for the sake of the people who care about you…make today the day you start finding that out on your own terms.

The luxurious way of doing drug treatment

One of the primary drug addictions luxury residential drug rehabilitation centers deal with is cocaine addiction. Cocaine abuse, drug abuse, and addiction continues to be a problem that plagues our nation, but that can be dealt with at a drug rehabilitation center. For instance, from 1965 to 1967, only 0.1 percent of youths had ever used cocaine, but rates rose throughout the 1970s and 1980s, reaching 2.2 percent in 1987. After a brief decline, lifetime prevalence rates peaked at 2.7 percent in 2002.

However, we now know more about where and how cocaine acts in the brain, including how the drug produces its pleasurable effects and why it is so addictive. Through the use of sophisticated technology, scientists can actually see the dynamic changes that occur in the brain as an individual takes the drug. They can observe the different brain changes that occur as a person experiences the “rush,” the “high,” and, finally, the craving of cocaine. They can also identify parts of the brain that become active when a cocaine addict sees or hears environmental stimuli that trigger the craving for cocaine. Because these types of studies pinpoint specific brain regions, they are critical to identifying targets for developing medications to treat cocaine addiction.

One of NIDA’s most important goals is to translate what scientists learn from research, in order to help the public better understand drug abuse and addiction, and to develop more effective strategies for their prevention, treatment, drug detox and drug rehabilitation. We hope that this compilation of scientific information on cocaine will help to inform readers about the harmful effects of cocaine abuse, and that it will assist in prevention and treatment efforts.

Relapse Prevention

Addiction treatment centers are absolutely essential to recovery from drug addiction, alcohol addiction and dual diagnosis. There are a wide range of addiction treatment centers that treat alcoholism and drug addiction. Drug treatment programs often include counseling (both one-on-one and group therapy), education, relapse prevention, medical assistance, and nutrition programs to treat the mind, body and spirit, all of which suffer from the destruction of a crippling addiction. There are many different types of drug treatment available, some of which include counseling, psychotherapy, recovery support groups, family therapy, and inpatient or outpatient programs. All of these programs are designed to teach the addict how to become a sober, productive, and happy member of society. Most traditional drug treatment programs encourage addicts to attend recovery oriented meetings to help solidify the recovery process both during treatment and following completion. Statistics suggest that the most effective drug treatment centers offer programs which are comprehensive and multidimensional. The most effective programs are usually closely associated with a wide variety of treatment alternatives and support services. Addicts and alcoholics weighing the merits of recovery programs — whether for a loved one or for themselves — are often unclear on what is most important in the process of choosing a treatment program: treatment methodology, organizational structure, staffing, success rate etc.

One of the most important factors in choosing a drug treatment center or alcohol rehab program is to determine if you require residential or outpatient treatment, as these are the two most common forms of drug rehabilitation.

Treatment for drug abuse and addiction is delivered in many different settings, using a variety of behavioral and pharmacological approaches. In the United States, more than 11,000 specialized drug and alcohol treatment facilities provide intervention, drug and alcohol detox, rehabilitation, counseling, behavioral therapy, medication, case management, and other types of services to persons with drug use disorders. Because drug abuse and addiction are major public health problems, a large portion of drug treatment is funded by local, State, and Federal governments. Private and employer-subsidized health plans also may provide coverage for treatment of drug addiction and its medical consequences. Drug abuse and addiction are treated in specialized treatment facilities and mental health clinics by a variety of providers, including certified drug abuse counselors, physicians, psychologists, nurses, and social workers. Treatment is delivered in outpatient, inpatient, and residential settings. Although specific treatment approaches often are associated with particular treatment settings, a variety of therapeutic interventions or services can be included in any given setting.

Working with addicts

Drug Abuse, Drug Addiction, Drug Rehabilitation No Comments

I work at a drug rehabilitation in Los Angeles. I am a counselor, I spend all day, and some nights with drug addicts who, as you may know, are not always the easiest people to be around. They live with their drug addiction every day, and in turn, so do I. Some days its really, really hard. At the specific drug rehab I work at, we get new people every month who are trying to get sober. For some of them, sobriety is a hard thing to attain. I see people breaking down, people trying to face their fears, people trying to deal with serious drug abuse issues. Just the other day I saw this young kid crying. I sat with him for hours, talking to him, listening to him, sharing what I know about drug addiction but nothing seemed to work. Then, he said the most amazing thing. He said he that there are a million places he’d rather be, but that deep down, in the same place that makes him a drug addict, he knows being there is the right thing. As soon as he said that I leaned back, and smiled. He asked me how could I be smiling? I told him, you know what, I feel the same way. There’s a million places I’d rather be, but right then and there I know that sitting with him, listening to him, was where I needed to be. Then, he smiled.

Don’t believe everything you read about drug treatment programs. Drug treatment doesn’t work by magic. Drug treatment centers can’t heal addicts who don’t want to be healed. Private drug treatment programs that “guarantee” patient success shouldn’t be taken seriously. The truth is that even the best drug rehab center in the world can’t make drug rehab work without concerted engagement on the part of its patients. In the end, you’re the only one who controls your own drug treatment destiny. Anyone who tells you otherwise just doesn’t get it.

If you’re here, reading this, you don’t need anyone to tell you how awful addiction is, and how important drug treatment programs can be to drug treatment patients. Successful addiction recovery will give you your life back, and help you rediscover the world as you used to know it. To get where you’re trying to go, though, you have to take the first step. No drug treatment program can work if you as a drug rehab patient are unwilling or unable to make it work. For your own sake, don’t wait any longer to finally make the right choice.

Getting addiction treatment can be the best thing for a person with addictions

Addiction, Addiction Program, Addiction Treatment, Drug Addiction No Comments

Getting addiction treatment can be the best thing for a person with addictions. If you have a drug problem or a problem with alcoholism then it is obvious that addiction treatment is the only solution. People all over the world have been the victims of their own mistakes and gotten themselves into terrible situations. That is a part of life unfortunately. The lucky part about all of it is that a person can easily go to addiction treatment and make amends for what has happened to their lives. It’s simple really. Addiction treatment can turn around anyone’s life once they have committed themselves to doing so. There really is no other solution to curing addiction than enrolling in addiction treatment. Sometimes, people with drug addictions or alcohol problems try to take matters into their own hands and turn their lives around themselves. Some people try to just go cold turkey and hope for the best. The unfortunate part of that strategy is that it isn’t always as effective as addiction treatment. If you’ve got an addiction problem, you already know what to do.

I was hooked on OxyContin before I knew what me. OxyContin addiction creeps up on you, is the problem…grows little by little, so that by the time you’re aware of the fact that you might have a problem it’s already too late. And believe me: It’s not much fun to wake up one day and realize you’re a full-on prescription drug addict.

I couldn’t have beaten my OxyContin problem without help. Prescription drug treatment more or less saved my life, if you really want to know: saved me from myself, saved me from that overwhelming need that makes prescription drug addiction so hard to overcome in the first place. Without OxyContin treatment, I wouldn’t be here today. And for that, I suppose, I can’t be anything but grateful.

Maybe you or someone you care about has succumbed to OxyContin abuse. You aren’t alone. Every year, millions of Americans fall victim to drug abuse. And every year, millions of Americans get healthy in drug treatment centers. You can be among them, if you have the courage to get help. Your future, you might say, is in your hands. How you shape it is up to you.
